Our Story
In its early days, EECD found its home on 300 South University Boulevard, Aurora, CO. This small space became a sanctuary of unity, where individuals from diverse backgrounds found common ground in their shared devotion.

As the congregation expanded, so did the church’s reach, leading them to their second location from 1998 to 2000, nestled within the walls of University Hills Baptist Church on 2222 South Yale Avenue, Denver, CO.
EECD’s unwavering journey then led them to their third location from 2000 to 2001, a middle school on 13th and Chambers in Aurora, a temporary space that symbolized the church’s adaptability and resilience.

However, it was the fourth location, from 2002 to 2012, that marked a significant milestone—a true testament to their growth. The old Addis Kidan Church on 15150 East Evans Avenue became a space of significance, anchoring the community as it continued to flourish.
Yet, the church’s evolution was far from complete. In 2012, EECD found its current home at 445 South Lansing Street, Aurora, CO 80012, a place that encapsulates the journey, the spirit, and the devotion of the congregation. Here, the echoes of the past harmonize with the aspirations of the future, embodying the unity of cultures and the warmth of shared faith.
Through various locations, EECD has carved a legacy of perseverance, diversity, and spiritual growth. From a fellowship of a few to a thriving community, the church’s story is a reflection of the people who have woven their lives together, creating a colorful mosaic that continues to inspire and uplift.
